Tomorrow, I finally get back to what I love. Seeing live music with camera in hand.
Thanks to my lovely office this summer, I have a press pass to CARNEY tomorrow night.
Its at the Henry Fonda Theater which is a very old beautiful theater.
Wednesday, I plan on seeing Butterfly Boucher at the Hotel Cafe, my Evening Muse of the West Coast minus the VIP treatment. And Thursday, Terra Naomi is playing--- I hope I can check her out too.
In the next week, Hotel Cafe surely will see a lot of me.
Katie Herzig plays there next Monday, who I cannot miss.
and Tuesday is BLEU and ROONEY...oh my.

girl and the road. literally.
Tuesdays are one of my days off. I started out the day wanting be just me and the camera. Clouds stood in my way all day. I never was truly inspired to take the camera out. When I left the house, I wanted to go to The Getty. Well, I missed the 405 exit somehow...and landed in Hollywood. I figured that I would just start there and head to the ocean eventually and take a drive on the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway).
I was going to go to Amoeba Records, but turned the wrong way on Sunset. Therefore, I didn't feel like turning around. It is probably for the best since I can drop some serious dough at Amoeba. I'll go soon though. You can't keep me from used CD shopping.
Had my lunch at Carney's. Yum Yum!
After lunch, I headed to the Westwood Village to browse Buffalo Exchange.
I struck out with every dress I tried on. Ended up only getting 2 scarves. Another addiction of mine.
Then I headed west into Santa Monica to the Pacific Ocean.
Up the PCH to Malibu, where my GPS took me through the canyons to get home.
Now, everyone should drive through those canyons at some point on their trip to LA. The view is absolutely unbelievably amazing! It would have been even better if there was a little more blue sky and not overcast today. I'll probably make the drive again at some point when there's better weather for pictures.
Driving back home, I had no idea where I was and I loved every minute of it.
I trusted the GPS and it got me back just fine :)

I have no words.
I have no words that would be a suitable apology for not blogging. Instead of looking back, I will briefly share a few pictures from my drive across country, and then move on.
Visited the Cheekwood Gardens in Nashville TN

Went to the Dallas Zoo...
Click on the picture below to go to my Flickr site to see pictures of all different kinds of animals.

Attended a beautiful wedding of a childhood friend.
Mr & Mrs Matt Morrison.

Cadillac Ranch outside of Amarillo TX ...a roadside attraction that is simply a place to stretch your legs because Texas is one boring drive.

One of the many old hotel signs on good ol' Route 66 in Tucumcari NM.

and then inspired by the Eagles...
a road trip through the southwestern US is not complete without a stop in Winslow AZ.

My view for two days.

One big hole. Meteor Crater between Flagstaff & Winslow AZ.

Driving through the Oak Creek Canyon to Sedona was absolutely stunning.

Sedona and the red rocks.

One GRAND hole.

Drove through the California desert during sunset. Another amazing sight that everyone should see in person because pictures just doesn't do it justice.

I should have known that updating from the road was a bad idea. I was always tired from driving or was busy visiting people that I didn't have time to sit down and write in this. But I assure you I actually wrote in a real journal, so I will finish posting about my days with some pictures that I took. :)
But my first day of the internship was yesterday. It was good.
Not much to say... it was a rare slow day in the office.
Wednesdays I believe are busier.
