Hilary Smith

Celebrated the autumn season with what seems like an annual shoot with my good friend, Hilary. This shoot was actually about 10 months in the works and changed with the seasons. But I am glad it ended up in my favorite season.

Trent Dabbs & Friends

Last night, May 30, was not only a Trent Dabbs' concert...but it was a mini-Ten out of Tenn show. So many talented people on one stage. Truly entertaining for 3+ hours. I think the pictures will say it all.

Be In Love

One of the best tours I have witnessed this spring belonged to Butch Walker and the Black Widows with opening band, Locksley. So I may be a little biased towards Locksley because I have watched them progress since 2005. Their energy onstage is contagious. The crowd cannot help but move and dance around even if they aren't familiar with the music. The following images were taken at the Orange Peel in Asheville, NC and Exit/In in Nashville, TN.

I have no words.

I have no words that would be a suitable apology for not blogging. Instead of looking back, I will briefly share a few pictures from my drive across country, and then move on.

Visited the Cheekwood Gardens in Nashville TN

Cadillac Ranch outside of Amarillo TX ...a roadside attraction that is simply a place to stretch your legs because Texas is one boring drive.

a road trip through the southwestern US is not complete without a stop in Winslow AZ.

Drove through the California desert during sunset. Another amazing sight that everyone should see in person because pictures just doesn't do it justice.

Let's Rewind: Day 1

May 18:

Travel Day from Charlotte, NC to Nashville, TN.
I said goodbye to the Purple Door. It will be surely missed for two months.

I made it to Nashville in pretty good time... arriving mid-afternoon.
Took in a few vintage stores, and a much needed visit to Grimey's as I waited for Cirbey to get off work.Cirbey took me to BAJA BURRITO and I approve!
Can I move to Nashville now??!

While parking at Baja, I couldn't help but notice these signs:

I can't get away from Wolf Camera apparently.
Saw a total of 4 of them in Nashville.
(2 were out of business. oh shucks.)
